In addition to sharing with the wider cultural community the new digital document “From Seed to Season: How to Grow as a New Young Audience Presenter,” Ontario Presents is thrilled to be offering additional online Learning Sessions that will provide further support to young audience presenters in rural, remote and underserved communities.
The first Learning Session titled “A Time to Review” will be a FREE Zoom webinar on January 24, 2024 at 1:00 PM that will provide a general overview of the “From Seed to Season” and how its practical resources and digital resources can be used to build, nurture and sustain a thriving performing arts series.
What to expect during “A Time to Review”:
- Overview of the role of a young audience presenter and the presenting ecology while valuing the child audience
- Overview of the foundational leadership, volunteer, EDI, and planning considerations required for a meaningful and sustainable young audience presenting series/organization.
- Overview of the building blocks of presenting: team building, budgeting, audience building, venue & technical elements, programming, ticketing, marketing and front of house considerations.
- Overview of the non-performance elements of presenting: community engagement opportunities, looking forward and evaluation.
