Welcome to the Ontario Presents network, a community of performing arts professionals who work collaboratively to improve touring and presentation practice in Ontario!
The Ontario Presents network is a learning network that connects and encourages all of us in our work. This website is for YOU and the Members’ Area is your learning center. To make the most of your membership, ensure you participate whenever possible. Everyone’s input is welcomed and encouraged. Having everyone to contribute to this site would allow us to harness the knowledge and skills of many people and grow together.
The Programs section is for you to learn more about Ontario Presents programs and services and to get in contact with an appropriate person.
The Resources section is for you to find survey results, updated practices manual and other useful information and documents. Please suggest more resources that you would like to have available or wish to share with other members.
The Discussion Forum section is where you may pose a question, offer tips and advice and provide answers to colleague’s questions. There are several forums defined by membership type to keep conversations focused. You may choose either a general discussion or a forum that best suits your question. You will receive an email notification when a new discussion/question is posted and once you join any specific discussion you will receive email notifications about new comments. Participate often! Make sure you consistently post and reply in order to get your name and specialties known among us. All conversations are archived and may be retrieved at any time. Start/join member discussion now!
Before you check all that out, please follow these easy steps below:
1) Complete Your Member Profiles:
Please take a few moments and make sure you complete and update your personal and organization profiles. These pages are stored within Ontario Presents online Network Directory and are a great way to represent yourself and your organization.
An organization profile is designed to represent your organization so that other industry professionals can learn more about your organization.
Your individual profile is your personal landing page, a small-scale web site that allows you to unify your online industry presence without the work of setting up and maintaining your own web site. Your profile can serve as a central page you can direct people to in order to learn more information about you and visit your other profiles on the web, such as your social and professional networking sites. It also allows members to easily connect with each other.
Members are responsible for updating their profiles to reflect current information.
2) Renew Your Membership:
You can also take advantage of our new online membership renewal process when paying your membership dues. Simply click “renew membership” under your account and complete the online form.
3) Share Your News and Knowledge!
As a network member, you are encouraged to contribute blog entries, industry event listings, job postings or any other news or announcements relevant to the arts presentation sector.
Do not forget to share your accomplishments to inspire other members of the network!
If you wish to submit a blog entry, industry event, job posting or any other exciting news or announcement please contact us at info [at] ontariopresents.ca (info[at]ontariopresents[dot]ca) and she will be happy to post this information on the web site and circulate it through other Ontario Presents online platforms.
